Dear Journal,

So far my life has been good to me. I went off to college, got a degree in speech therapy and fortunately got a job working in New Paltz. I enjoyed my job a lot. However the journey was challenging. I moved back home and did my graduate work at SUNY New Paltz. While doing this I had to pay off my student loans, and I had to pay for a car so I had to get a part time job. In fact I got several jobs. I became a waitress and worked in a few shops in town. All while balancing my classes. I would come back home after work and be exhausted, and then I would spend the rest of my night studying. Eventually I finished which was one of the most satisfying experiences of my life. I then found out that there was a position open in New Paltz. I was thrilled. I applied and I got it even though I was pretty new to the field. It was hard at first but eventually I became very comfortable and happy with what I was doing. Eventually I saved up enough money to move out of my parents house and live in an apartment in town.



Dear Journal,

So I guess I should update you on the major events in my life since the last time I spoke. So two years ago I got married and currently I am pregnant with my first child. I am still working but I will probably stop working for a while once the baby is born. Perhaps someday I will go back to work, but I am not sure what I want to do yet. I may want more children so perhaps I wont begin working until my kids start going to school. We will see what direction life takes us.
