So for the first task we were assigned to discuss first experiences with reading. Well for me personally my grandmother is a librarian, my sister is a librarian and my mom is a preschool teacher, so being surrounded by books was kind of inevitable. Every Friday morning my mom will walk down Main Street with her preschool class and walk down to the library. When I went to preschool I would do the same thing. My mom can recall that any time I would like a book I would want to take it out week, after week.
One book I can recall reading over and over again was called Pigs in the Pantry. It was part of a series but I only cared about the one book. In the story the there is a family of pigs and they are starving but they have no food in there house and they have no money, so they end up searching there entire house for spare change to pay for there meals. I am not sure why I loved this book so much but I guess the thought of paying for a meal in nickles found from under the bed is kind of funny. I think another reason I liked the book so much was because I have never been a fan of math and this was one of my first experiences with math and counting that was positive. I also like that at the end of the book the family ends up going to a restaurant called the Whole Enchilada, and on one of the pages they show a cool menu of all food the pigs might have eaten.
